Brand identity & asset design

Various applications.

Brand identity & asset design
A brand refers to the meaning people attach to your organisation, product, or service. It represents who you are as a business and, more importantly, how your audience perceives you. Branding is the process of shaping that perception. It involves carrying out a strategic plan to ensure your audience views your business in the desired way. Identity, on the other hand, is the set of visual and sensory elements that make your brand recognizable. This includes your logo, colours, website, photography, and digital marketing efforts.

Logos

Please see some of my logo examples.

Logos
Logos are crucial to branding because they serve as the visual representation of a brand's identity, conveying its values, personality, and promise to consumers in an instant. A well-designed logo fosters recognition, trust, and emotional connection with the audience, differentiating the brand from competitors. Hiring a great designer ensures that the logo is not only visually appealing but also strategically crafted to align with the brand's message, ensuring longevity and effectiveness across various platforms and touchpoints. Investing in professional design enhances credibility, making the brand more memorable and impactful.

Shop fitout

BBJ Express North Sydney

Shop fitout
I had the opportunity to design the overall aesthetic and experience for Burgers by Josh (BBJ Express) in North Sydney. This included creating the logos, fit-out, burger boxes, and signage, ensuring the brand's identity was consistent and visually striking throughout the venue. A stand out is the collaboration with Coca-Cola and Tabasco on murals, organised through their PR firms, blending their iconic elements into the restaurant's interior to enhance the overall vibe. These design efforts aimed to create an inviting, bold, and unique space that resonated with customers, while amplifying the brand's presence in the highly competitive burger scene.

Brand asset application

Brand asset application
Brand assets, such as logos, colour palettes, typography, and imagery, serve as the visual foundation for a brand's identity, enabling consistent representation across diverse settings and applications. These assets can be strategically adapted to suit various platforms—like social media, print, and digital advertising—while maintaining the brand’s core message and personality. For instance, as can be see here with Petbarn a vibrant colour scheme and playful typography might be used in social media campaigns to attract a younger audience, while a more subdued palette could be employed in corporate communications to convey professionalism. By leveraging these assets across different styles and contexts, brands can effectively engage their target audiences, reinforce recognition, and cultivate loyalty.
